  7. Yesterday,  I  attended  the  meeting  of  NUFORA  which is the Northern
  8. association  of  BUFORA,  the British U.F.O research Assoc.  I've helped
  9. with several local Investigations and case files.  We were talking (it's
  10. just  a  small  central  core  of  10/12)  to  Philip Mantle, one of the
  11. foremost  UFO  investigators  in  the  Uk.   he's a member of the BUFORA
  12. council,  a  prolific  writer on the subject and a leading sceptic.  I'd
  13. say  the latter is important to state as he's based his entire career on
  14. the assumption that we are NOT being visited by Alien terrestrials.  But
  15. what he told us left a lot to be answered....

  17. About  a  year  ago  he  was approached by a chap working in London, who
  18. freelanced composite videos together and sold them.  A business man pure
  19. and  simple.   This "Santili" guy told him that he had set out to make a
  20. film  of Elvis Presley using previously unseen footage.....no you're way
  21. ahead of me, he didn't get his songs from Aliens.  In many ways Elvis is
  22. (and  still is if you ask me ) irrelevant.  The important connection was
  23. that  he  managed  to secure the services of, and some unique film from,
  24. the man who was the first to get Elvis on film anywhere.  This chap, one
  25. Jack  barnet, eventually liked the way this Santili guy did business ie.
  26. if  he  said  he  wanted  it;  he  wanted  it  and paid cash up front no
  27. questions.

  29. When Santili was on the verge of returning to this country, Barnet asked
  30. if  he'd  be  interested in "something fairly sensational?" Santili, not
  31. being one to miss an opportunity said of course.  To be fair to Santili,
  32. he's  the  first to admit he's a chancer and only wants the money out of
  33. this affair; you have to respect that.

  35. Barnett  suprised  Santili  by  advising  him  that  from  1942  to 1960
  36. something  he  was  an  official film cameraman for the Govt and in that
  37. capacity  was  the man sent from Washington to film "the Rosswell crash,
  38. and subsequent autopsy!"
  39.  
  40. Let me add here that for those not familiar; The Roswell Incident stands
  41. in UFO folklore as one of the foremost Incidents.  It is claimed that in
  42. the  late  40's  early  50's  (the  date  gets  clouded)  An Alien craft
  43. crashlanded  in Rosswell in Texas?  Alien bodies were recovered and some
  44. reports  insist the Aliens lived for some years.  (some claim that there
  45. is  a  community  of  "greys" living underground in a huge facilty under
  46. Groom  Lake  but  that's  something  else)...   If  true, it is complete
  47. evidence  of  extra  terrastrial  life and ssubsequent coverup.  If not;
  48. well it's just more imaginative poo.

  50. Santilli saw some of the footage bought it and returned home.  whereupon
  51. he  contacted Phil Mantle and told him about the film.  "yeh right" says
  52. phil  having  heard these thing before.  "Why me" Well, says Santili, if
  53. you're  organisation  came  out behind the filmlending more credence etc
  54. etc.  Phil said OK let me see the film.  Santili said other parties were
  55. forbidding him contractually.  Phil read this to mean Santili was out to
  56. bargain.   This  faceoff  occured  several  times and after a while Phil
  57. heard no more.

  61. A  few  weeks  ago Santili resurfaced to Phil and phil said, I've got to
  62. see something before I can be commital.  Phil eventually got to see some
  63. video  footage  and  thought it looked very dull and dark.  Now to bring
  64. you  all  up  to  speed; you may know that the affair is gaining impetus
  65. because a.  A Hollywood movie has been released with Kyle Mclaughlin and
  66. Charlie  Sheen  abiut the Roswell crash.  At one stage Speilberg; so the
  67. jungle  telegraph  went,  was  producing  it,  from government film with
  68. government  approval  as  a way of preparing the American Public and the
  69. world for the news that Aliens did exist.!!!!

  71. B.  The film has been video released before it's general release.

  73. C.  Ex-Troggs singer Reg Presley has put a lot of money into the "real"
  74.     Roswell story; but it is felt his interest is genuine.

  76. SO..next  thing;  Philip gets invited to a press gathering in the London
  77. Museum.   Santili  is there along with two guys Phil recognised from the
  78. MOD.   several  other  investigators  and hoards and hoards of Journo's.
  79. They then watched approx 20 mins of Black and white footage puportint to
  80. be  filmed  evidence  of  an  autopsy  initialy  performed  in a tent at
  81. Roswell, later in Dallas, of an Alien being.

  83. I will not quote Phil here but the gist was that the being looked approx
  84. 3  ft.   tall, hairless, large cranium black huge eyes, six fingered and
  85. toe'd.   When  the  "eye" were paired this proved to be a black membrane
  86. covering  a  more  human like eye.  Very large but not so large as to be
  87. strange.   The  bodiy  was  ostensibly  newly  dead  as whebn the autopy
  88. started  blood  and  fluids  seeped out as would a human cadaver.  A ful
  89. autopsy was performed and an organ (it was extremely gory he said) which
  90. could  have  been  a heart was removed.  Everyrhing that was removed was
  91. sampled  and  put  in jars etc.  Also he said that what appeared to be a
  92. crystaline  structure  was removed from the chests of (2) of the bodies.
  93. It looked mineral in content.

  95. There  are lots of unanswered questions here.  Apperently SKY was trying
  96. to  bundle  Santili  into  aroom  along  with carlton TV; everyone.  The
  97. cheque  books  were flashing quicker than the cameras.  A Sunday express
  98. man  interviewed  Santili to an extent.  so watch the Airways for a prog
  99. or  the  papers.   Also, the BUFORA conference takes place in August and
  100. although he's not on the agenda; Santili will take questions on the film
  101. and (maybe) might show some of the film.........

  103. Phil  Mantle  is  a  sceptic.   he  was one of the first to say the Gulf
  104. breeze  pictures were bogus but press him to what he thinks of this film
  105. and he gets uneasy; He's just not sure and that's a first for him!  Like
  106. I  say;  for  my  part, re the "greys" there is no grey area!  Rither we
  107. have  authentic  footage of life from another world or it's gonna be the
  108. biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the UFO community.

  114. A couple of postscripts here; one, amutual aquaintance of Santili AND of
  115. Phil  mantle  (although  neither  knew that he knew them both) told Phil
  116. Mantle  that about 2 years ago when Santili had bought the films he said
  117. to  the aquaintence, " i'm sure I've seen my first Alien.." Knowing that
  118. santili  is  a  businessman  and  unconcerned either way (as long as the
  119. money is there) he thought it significant that Santili believes it!

  121. 2.   Phil's  contact  at  the  MOD  has  been  given  clearance  by  his
  122. superiors(he  is  virtually  the  sole  Agent  at  MOD  dealing with UFO
  123. investigation)  to  publish  his book in the next few months.  ...and it
  124. comes out clearly infavour of the "extra-Terrestial" hypothesis!
